Paying your Property Taxes

The Township offers two types of pre-authorized payment plans.

• Monthly based: This option automatically withdraws your annual taxes in equal monthly instalments on the first business day of each month. No late fees or extra charges are billed.
• Instalment based: The instalment amount due will be automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the first business day following the installment due date.  No late fees are charged.

Update or cancel pre-authorized payments

To update or cancel your pre-authorized payment plan, please complete the pre-authorized payment plan change form.

The Township accepts payments through most banking institutions.

Please register with your bank using your 19-digit property roll number (begins with 3018) as the account number.

Please note that some banking institutions take up to 5 business days to deposit funds into the Township's account.

The Township processes payments the date they are received. Payments received late will be charged a late fee.

• Cash
• Cheque (made out to the Township of Wilmot)
• Debit Card

Credit card payments are not accepted for property taxes.

Location 1: Outside the Township Administration Complex

Location 2: Inside the TD Canada Trust in New Hamburg

Payment methods accepted: Cheque (made out to the Township of Wilmot)

Please ensure the instalment stub is included with payment. 

Do not leave cash in our drop boxes.
